Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using RITE – Built Different ("RITE," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RITE. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 must have parental consent.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rite.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. RITEs and Public Content

A RITE is a public commitment you make on the platform. By posting a RITE, video proof, comment, or any other content, you grant RITE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating the platform.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Is harassing, abusive, threatening, or defamatory
• Contains nudity, graphic violence, or sexually explicit material
• Promotes self-harm or dangerous activities

5. Wagers and Payments

RITE allows users to stake real money on their commitments ("wagers"). By participating in a wager, you acknowledge:

• Wager funds are held until the community votes on your proof submission
• Losing a wager means your staked funds are distributed to other Circle members or the pot
• All payments are processed by Stripe. RITE does not store payment card information
• Refunds are not issued for lost wagers
• You are responsible for any taxes on winnings in your jurisdiction
• RITE does not guarantee the legality of wager participation in your location — you use this feature at your own risk

6. Community Voting

The community votes on whether submitted proof meets the stated RITE criteria. Votes are final and binding. RITE reserves the right to override votes in cases of clear abuse or manipulation.

7. Heat, Rank Points, and Badges

Heat scores, Rank Points, and badges are platform metrics with no real-world monetary value. RITE may adjust, reset, or discontinue these systems at any time.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Create fake accounts or impersonate other users
• Manipulate community votes through coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the platform
• Attempt to circumvent moderation or safety features
• Interfere with the platform's technical infrastructure

9. Termination

RITE may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the Delete Account page. Upon termination, your public content may remain visible unless you request deletion.

10. Disclaimers

RITE is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Community voting outcomes, Heat scores, and wager results are not guaranteed.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RITE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including lost wager funds, lost data, or loss of profits.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of RITE after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
